By using this site you agree to these Terms. They are a contract between you and Best Emerald Coast Media (Florida, USA). If you don't agree, don't use the site.
1. Permitted use
You may read, link to, and quote our articles for personal or news reporting use under fair use. You may not:

4. AI-assisted editorial
Some of our articles are drafted with AI assistance and then reviewed by a human editor; those articles carry a visible byline disclosing this (see Editorial Standards). We are responsible for everything we publish, AI-assisted or not.
5. No warranty / liability limit
The site is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do our best to keep information accurate (see our corrections policy in Editorial Standards) but local information changes — call the business or check current sources before relying on anything you read here for an important decision.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Best Emerald Coast Media and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or revenue. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (which for free site use is zero).

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the site or violation of these Terms.
7. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Escambia County, Florida, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top tracks the current version. Material changes take effect 30 days after we post them; continued use means you accept the update.
